It’s still one of the most popular sections of MotorEx with the displays getting better each year. These classic Australian & American muscle cars are loved, recognised and remembered by young and old. Note: Cars in this category are only being judged for club trophies and must enter Street Elite if they want individual judging.

FACTORY MUSCLE
This is for factory specified vehicles built for performance. They were usually built in limited quantities to meet homologation rules for racing. Typical cars that meet this criteria would be:

Ford: Australian built GT Falcons from XR to XB, Boss and Shelby Mustangs. Holden/GM: Performance Camaro’s, GTO’s and Corvette’s, 62 – 64 Chev Impala 409, HK – HG GTS Monaro’s, XU1 Torana’s, A9X Torana’s, HDT Commodore’s. Chrysler: Dodge Charger’s and Challengers, Hemi Barracuda. There are many more makes and models but this is only a sample of the factory muscle cars that are eligible.

MODIFIED MUSCLE
There are many vehicles eligible for this category but will be based on factory muscle models but would be modified. They would require engine performance, mechanical upgrade mods to qualify. A typical example would be a 66 Mustang or HK Monaro with a high performance engine, could be blown / turbocharged, chassis modifications, as in Pro Street style, brake upgrade, wheels, exhaust. The vehicle wouldn’t have to have all these mods but needs to be built with performance in mind.

Classification will be determined at time of entry by the promoter.

AWARDS
The club that wins the award of 'Best Club' will receive a Perpetual trophy, free entry to the next Sydney MotorEx for up to 6 cars, and a cash component of $1000

JUDGING
Judging will be based on the Quality of Cars on Display and the Overall Impact of Display.
